Alison Moger
My work as an artist has evolved from my experiences as a child, within the South Wales valleys. I have explored traditional stitch and print within my work, reflecting on the working class values of community life with its humour and warmth.
My work also reflects on the women who were in my life as a child, who loved and nurtured me and influenced who I am as an artist today.
The aim of my work is to bring these discarded often worn vintage textiles back to life with humour and a feeling of belonging. Each piece of work holds its own personality and is a unique piece.
