Contemporary Crochet - Edinburgh Contemporary Craft Workshops
Learn how to use old clothes to make yarn, and learn basic crochet skills. You will then use your home made yarn to create a cushion cover or iPad case and/or (depending on how quickly you work and any previous experience) you can learn more complex stitches and create a smaller item such as a phone case working with finer yarns.

Contemporary Jewellery
Ever wanted to make a piece of jewellery but didn’t know how? This course will introduce you as a beginner to working with silver, the tools used to manipulate it and techniques such as texturing, soldering and polishing as well as some contemporary approaches. Bring your ideas and your inspiration and turn them into beautiful, wearable jewellery. This course is suitable for beginners or those who have dabbled and would like to go a little further. Contemporary Knitting and Crochet Course
This 10 week course, held at Dragon Hall in Norwich, runs on Thursday evenings from 7-9pm and it will introduce you to the rich traditions of hand knitting and crochet, with a contemporary approach.
Using simple techniques such as shaping, recycling and felting, you will be guided through the basics and soon discover how to apply this knowledge innovatively, and confidently, to the production of exciting objects including adornments, accessories, functional and decorative objects. Equipped with a few basic skills you will have the potential to create unique and beautiful artefacts at your fingertips
This short course is appropriate for complete beginners and knitters with some basic skills and throughout the course we will look at how contemporary artists and designers are reinventing the traditions of knitting and crochet.

Contemporary Printmaking
