The frame is constructed from 12 individual strips of wood. Each 1 is carefully selected and positioned for a harmonious frame. Machining can release tension and stress stored within larger boards. The initial machining leaves the strips oversize to allow for possible movement. After a period of rest a secondary machining brings the strips to their final size. A few hours spent here pays dividends later.
