Brock the Badger Papercut

A shy badger trundles through the undergrowth, half hidden by the leaves. In this detailed papercut Sarah has incorporated two different cutting techniques. One involves taking away the background, the other cutting out the foreground shapes. This gives a sense of the badger being half hidden by the foliage as they can be very elusive creatures.

The piece was inspired partly by the shapes of stained glass church windows, and also by seeing badgers on a summer evening near her studio. Sarah will be donating £10 from every sale of this papercut to the Badger Trust.

This is one of four similar papercuts, the others feature a hare, owl and fox.

It is available in a limited edition of 10 and combines hand and machine cutting. This allows Sarah to produce work in affordable editions.

The papercut is lightly spray mounted on black mountboard, and is unframed. It will fit a standard 16 inch x 12 inch frame (approximately A3). It will be posted in a cellophane envelope.

This is part of a series of 4. If 2 are purchased you can enter MBHOSM10 at the checkout for a £10 discount. If 4 are purchased enter MBHOSM20 at the checkout for a £20 discount.
